All Madsen Electric field workers are trained in CPR and first aid.

Training is the most important component of Madsen Electric’s safety program.

For eight years, the Carl T. Madsen Group has provided in-house CPR and first aid certification to employees and their families. For three years, the company has participated in the IBEW Local 76’s Safety 100 program that requires all field workers to be CPR and first aid certified.

Company-wide recognition is demonstrated through prizes, pizza lunches, division-wide breakfasts, a monthly safety puzzle and year-end compensation.

Carl T. Madsen Inc. recently took third place at the AGC of America’s Safety Excellence Awards in the specialty contractor division. The awards program requires finalists to achieve zero work site fatalities and multi–catastrophic injuries, and examines the contractor’s safety program and looks for evidence of management commitment, employee participation, safety training, work site hazard identification and control, and safety program innovation.
