Lease Crutcher Lewis refurbished the 98-year-old Joshua Green Building, completing the work even as the building remained in use.

Lease Crutcher Lewis restored and modernized the Joshua Green Building last year. The 10-story, 112,000-square-foot building has class A office space and retail.

Many of the building’s historic features were unchanged since it was built in 1912, including the terra-cotta exterior, wood windows, the main lobby and a stairway. The Lewis team refurbished the features and in many cases fabricated new versions to match the historic elements.

Lewis accomplished the work despite the challenges of having the building partially occupied and located on one of downtown Seattle’s busiest corners. With careful planning and coordination, Lewis kept the building open, protected pedestrians and workers, and completed the project on schedule.

“The restoration and conversion of a 100-year-old asset to modern day tenant requirements could not have been better executed,” said a client.
