Exxel Pacific completed West Seattle’s Link Apartments two months ahead of schedule.

Exxel Pacific completed the 200-unit Link Apartments mixed-use project ahead of schedule, bringing a sooner-than-expected revenue flow for the client.

The building exterior includes multiple reliefs and is finished with a variety of metals, fiber cement and concrete. The structure has 153,000 square feet of heated space, 55,000 square feet of underground parking and 18,000 square feet of retail.

Challenges included contaminated site soils conditions, demolition of multiple buildings with hazardous materials, a structure that stretched from property line to property line, and the need to minimize the impact associated with construction activities to the surrounding neighborhood.

Nevertheless, Exxel Pacific delivered the project two months early. By the contract completion date the residential apartments were 50 percent leased and all the retail space was open for business.
