Project team: Holz Construction, general contractor; Moncrieff Construction, concrete contractor; Zervas Group Architects, architect; Cowden Gravel & Ready-Mix, ready-mix supplier

This 2,500-square-foot home is situated along the precipice of a knoll amidst 70 acres of pasture land in rural Whatcom County. It is composed of a series of shallow-pitched low-lying forms stretched across the knoll.

Concrete floors with radiant heat and concrete countertops can be found inside.

The home has a hand-built concrete shower and concrete countertops.

Concrete floors were saw cut and stained to match the architectural design of the home. They have radiant heating systems that allow the owners to set their thermostat 2 to 4 degrees lower and still be comfortable.
