ABC 2005 Excellence in Construction Awards
The Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington chose nine projects from 27 entries as winners in its 2005 Excellence in Construction Awards. Nuprecon’s work on an isolated Pacific Ocean atoll earned it the top award and Marpac Construction took home three awards.
“This year there were nearly double the number of submissions than in the past few years,” said Jon Havelock, 2004-2005 ABC chair and owner of H2 Environmental. “All of the submissions reflect the high standards of construction made possible when contractors and subcontractors are selected on the basis of merit — qualifications, performance and price.”
This year’s judges included Jeff Jeffers of CollinsWoerman, John E. Schaufelberger of the University of Washington’s Department of Construction Management, and Phil Brown of the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce.
