With a thriving international practice and strategic acquisitions that strengthen retail design and consulting, Bellevue-based MulvannyG2 has grown from 275 to 309 in staff size this year, with gross fees of $43 million. The firm also has offices in Portland; Irvine, Calif.; Sterling, Va.; and Shanghai, China. The offices in California and China were opened this year.

"We are fortunate to have built strong, enduring relationships with clients such as Target, Lowe's, Safeway and Costco that have carried us through these tough economic times," said Mitch Smith, president. "Our goal is to maintain that stability and grow these valuable relationships and forge new ones."

"We also see China as an emerging area of opportunity," Smith said. "While the business dynamics and policies in China force us to remain cautious, our current projects in China are paving the way for future opportunities for our Shanghai office.

Current projects include Everett Mall renovation; various Target stores; the Daytona Building in Redmond; Tacoma Convention and Trade Center; master planning for the Shunyi District near Beijing.
