Over the past year, all of Weisman Design Groups markets have been extremely active. The firm is involved in six mid-rise projects in Bellevue's central business district and over 10 million square feet of office buildings throughout the Northwest. In addition, the firm has 40 housing projects, shopping centers and other retail developments in 15 states, and over 20 educational facilities - from elementary through collegiate on the boards.

Weisman has continued to grow to the current size of 15 people, and revenues are up approximately 50 percent over last year with the addition of only three more employees.

In addition to the AT&T corporate headquarters, projects include Puyallup High School, site and field development, and Snohomish Cascade in Snohomish County.

President Mark Weisman expects certain market segments will see reduced volumes next year, given the impact of the federal listing of salmon as an endangered species and overbuilding of the market.

However, Because the firm is so versatile, we can shift our resources to our other strong markets to make up for any reduction in work, he said. With the current pace of development on often marginal sites, our challenge is to acknowledge client demands and development pressures in an economically and ecologically defensible way.
