Panel discussion Feb. 19 on I-5 lid

SEATTLE — Lid I-5 is holding a panel discussion on Feb. 19 that will inform the way the grassroots organization spends $2.2 million in USDOT and Washington state grants for planning a series of freeway lids over downtown portions of Interstate 5.

The theme of the panel is urban integration. The panelists are Lyle Bicknell, a Seattle-based urban designer; Julie Meredith with the Washington State Department of Transportation; and Sung Yang, principal with public relations firm Pacific Public Affairs. Sally Bagshaw, a former Seattle city councilmember, will act as moderator.
