Reopening nears for North Cascades Highway

This photo, taken last week, shows WSDOT crews clearing the snow from SR-20 North Cascades Highway. The roadway is mostly cleared, and now repairs can begin.

It's that time of year again. False spring has ended, and the area is officially moving into somewhat warmer temperatures, longer evenings and seasonal allergies.
