A bunch of fun and adventure can be had this summer at the recently opened Bellevue Adventures in South Bellevue.
The family-friendly attraction is at 14509 S.E. Newport Way, at the South Bellevue Community Center in Eastgate Park.
Offerings include a zip line tour, aerial park, and a climbing wall.
The city of Bellevue owns the adventure park. Northwest Team Building operates it.
The aerial park replaces the old challenge course at Eastgate Park, which the city has maintained, along with the zip line, for nearly two decades. It almost doubles the number of features in the old course with 27 elements that include cargo nets, barrels and swaying bridges at varying heights and difficulties. Five of the elements are accessible.
The two-sided, 36-foot-tall wooden climbing wall is another new addition.
The existing zip line course includes seven zip lines and two suspension bridges. The course allows adventurers to travel through Eastgate Park's tree canopy at speeds of up to 35 mph.
Bellevue Adventures is open daily for individual visitors and small groups and can also be booked for team-building programs and larger groups.
