County steps up preparedness following Texas flash floods

The King County Flood Control District is developing a Channel Migration Zone map for the lower Snoqualmie River to study riverbank erosion.

In a unanimous vote Tuesday, the King County Flood Control District Board of Supervisors approved a motion directing the district to expand its flood preparedness outreach, education programs and best management practices for flood risk reduction.
