Weigh in on equal pay protection

OLYMPIA — The state's Employment Standards Program filed a preproposal last week ahead of planned rulemaking on equal pay protections.

The rule revisions are in response to two bills passed during the 2025 Washington state legislative session that make changes to the Equal Pay and Opportunities Act. Both went into effect July 27.
