Construction jobs up in most areas

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Construction hiring was up in December for most metropolitan areas compared to the same time last year, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of recent government employment data.

AGC says that about two-thirds of metro areas (68%) saw an increase in construction jobs in December 2024 from the year before.
