Material prices jump in January

By JOURNAL STAFF

WASHINGTON — The price of construction materials was up 1.4% in January compared to the previous month, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of government data released Thursday.

Nonresidential construction input prices increased 0.9% for the month, and were 0.7% higher than last year. Overall construction input prices are 1.3% higher than this time last year.
