Point Defiance's new $9.5M Loop Trail gives pedestrians, cyclists their own path

The Loop Trail will create a paved pathway here, alongside Five Mile Drive near the Rocky Shores picnic area.

Next spring, people walking, rolling or cycling through Tacoma's Point Defiance Park won't have to navigate around cars in the roadway or through mud on roadsides as they visit major attractions in the 760-acre urban park.
