July saw a 0.4% jump in construction input prices compared to the previous month, according to the Associated Builders and Contractors' analysis of the U.S. Labor Department's producer price index data released yesterday. Nonresidential construction input prices were also up 0.4% for the month.
The Labor Department reported Thursday that the overall producer price index was up 0.9% from June, biggest jump in more than three years, and up 3.3% from July 2024.
