TUMWATER — During a recent two-day enforcement effort, state inspectors were able to verify the registration of more than 500 contractors and tradespeople, but caught 41 working in construction without state licensing or registration.
The state Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) says its construction compliance inspectors cited the violators for unregistered contracting or for unlicensed plumbing or electrical work. The unannounced inspections took place between Oct. 13 and 14 at nearly 350 construction sites throughout the state.
