‘We are working around the clock to respond to this disaster'

  • Gov. Ferguson directs emergency funds for flood relief as contractors begin repairs on roads and highways.

    WSDOT is already working with two contractors making emergency repairs on state Route 2 between Skykomish and Leavenworth.

    With the help of National Guard troops deployed in Washington, the Washington State Department of Transportation has already reopened more than 60 roads since a series of catastrophic storm systems first rolled in last week.
