Conservation Futures grants preserve over 3,000 acres around King County

The city of Kenmore will use the funds to convert waterfront property into a park at the mouth of the Sammamish River.

An urban farm in Rainer Beach, a city block of trees in Mount Baker and a new downtown park in Auburn are among 53 land conservation projects splitting $107 million in awards announced Tuesday by King County Exec. Dow Constantine.
