Ferguson puts ferry conversion on hold

    The Jumbo Mark II-class ferry Wenatchee, shown here in 2008, has been out of service since work began in September of 2023 to convert it to hybrid-electric power.

    Gov. Bob Ferguson announced yesterday that he will delay the hybrid-electric conversion of two of the state's largest ferries, allowing the vessels to return to service.
