SEATTLE — The Port of Seattle's report on this year's cruise season showed progress toward the 2027 requirement that all home port ships use 100% shore power when at dock.
In 2025, eight home port ships operated a total of 298 port calls. They set a new record with 65% of ships using shore power at dock (up from 42% in 2024). And the port supported Carnival Corp. in the first biofuel demonstration project in the Seattle cruise market, testing biofuel bunkering on three Holland America Line sailings.
