Rainier Valley site could be filled

SEATTLE — Once home to Rainier Farmer Market, now bare slab, the 2119 Rainier Ave. S. triangle traded four years ago to a local investor. (The seller then was the Borracchini family, which ran the nearby vacant Borracchini's Bakery, which also closed in 2021.)

Given the location, retail or even apartments might seem the logical next step. But instead there's a new one-story warehouse plan, recently filed by Christopher Jones Architects. It would total about 8,198 square feet.
