The site is flanked by two grocery stores, with light rail but a few steps away.

What some may recall as the old Mud Bay and Tiger Garden buildings were demolished last summer on Mercer Island. Shoring and excavation then followed, and a new mixed-use apartment building is now nearly above grade at 2750 77th Ave. S.E. , in the island's modestly upzoned Town Center district.
