Trump administration takes over $7B Penn Station project

One recent proposal by a group called the Grand Penn Community Alliance calls for moving Madison Square Garden and developing a new public plaza and open-air train hall in its place.

NEW YORK (AP) — President Donald Trump's administration is taking control of the $7 billion reconstruction project for New York City's busy but aging Penn Station, sidelining the city's mass transit agency, the transportation chief said last week.
