SEATTLE — The family owners of Ohno Construction, now based farther south in the Rainier Valley, own a vacant old building at 1265 S. Main St. The three-story, 118-year-old Rainier Center is probably at the end of its useful life. It occupies its own little trapezoidal block south of Bailey Gatzert Elementary, where Little Saigon blurs into Squire Park.
Possibly as a prelude to selling, Pollard Development recently filed a seven-story apartment plan. The number of units isn't yet enumerated. Some amount of parking and retail is possible.
