Unfenced, water restored, Tsutakawa fountain is back, baby!

With no announcment, the fountain opened Memorial Day weekend.

As the DJC reported in January, the missing George Tsutakawa-designed fountain from the mid-1960s, once planted near the Colman Dock, quietly returned to the downtown Seattle waterfront. Restored after a half dozen years in storage, it was then hoisted into its new location where Columbia Street meets Alaskan Way.
