Harrell proposes overhaul of Seattle's design review process

    The proposed reforms would permanently exempt affordable housing projects, like Mercy Housing’s Othello Plaza, from design review.

    Mayor Bruce Harrell has proposed interim legislation and upcoming permanent reforms to Seattle's design review program, including a temporary pause of design review requirements for new projects and making affordable housing projects permanently exempt from the process.
