Office-to-resi conversion in Tacoma starting soon

The reinforced concrete Sandberg Building dates to 1907.

In downtown Tacoma, DaVita was the sole office occupant at 1423 Pacific Ave. from 1999-2021, before decamping to Federal Way. Longtime owner Horizon Partners Northwest was then left with an empty 10-story vintage building. Efforts to sell it, or lease the space, proved unsuccessful for broker Lee & Associates.
