Two-story houses are expected to range from about 800 to 1,400 square feet, without garages.

Just another ho-hum, single-family, 8-acre subdivision? To yield only 22 small building sites? Yawn. Except for one novel twist. On Bainbridge Island, where land and housing are notoriously scarce and expensive, Bethany Lutheran Church intends that its Finch Green subdivision be the basis for permanently affordable housing for the sales market.
