Pivot's new owner pivots from hotel rooms to apartments

The conversion scheme would total 95 units.

The mixed-use Pivot building, at 1208 Pine St. on Capitol Hill, opened its doors in the fall of 2022. Developed by Vibrant Cities and designed by Tiscareno, it had a long and complicated gestation — including a split between the original developers. With retail at grade, there were to be some offices above; then those shifted to apartments …. and then later short-term furnished rentals, categorized as hotel rooms. (Sonder has been the operator there.)
