The Grant MacEwan/Robbins Health Care Facility in Edmonton is a $60 million learning center at the college’s City Centre Campus with state-of-the-art health sciences facilities, including nursing simulation labs. The facility provides training for nurses and health care professionals, both locally and internationally.

The 27,000-square-meter building houses MacEwan’s nursing program, one of the largest schools in western Canada. It has a continuing education program that serves the 25,000 practicing registered nurses in Alberta and the new building allows the college to handle up to 2,000 additional students.

Judge’s comment: “The cloud ceilings are the focal point of the interior space. The angles and shapes of the independent ceiling surfaces required difficult layout and construction.”
