In 2003, M.A. Mortenson Co.’s commitment to charity included donations exceeding $100,000 to about 50 organizations.

Mortenson’s Stewardship Committee handled donations of food, toys, clothes, materials, labor and money.

Employees also rolled up their sleeves and got involved in the causes they support, donating numerous hours of personal time and hard work.

The role of Mortenson’s Stewardship Committee is to encourage team members to become personally involved in the charities they support.

Last year, some of the gifts were directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Girl Scouts Camp River Ranch, United Way, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the South Cle Elum Train Depot restoration project.
