Absher, Foushée win top AGC awards
The Associated General Contractors of Washington on Friday honored 13 of its members at its 20th annual Safety and Construction Excellence Awards banquet at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.

The top construction award went to Absher Construction for its efforts to build the $171 million U.S. Federal Courthouse in Seattle. Top safety honors went Foushée and Associates. Turner’s Chris Beckerman won Superintendent of the Year.
Winners represent a wide range of AGC members, from small to large companies, union and non-union, general contractors and subcontractors.
Construction judges included David Carns of Central Washington University, Ryan Daugherty of CH2M Hill, Janey Gregory of MulvannyG2 and Ray Rawe of the Port of Seattle. Safety judges were Dale Cavanaugh of OSHA Region 10, Justin Crandol of AGC of America, Anne Foote-Soiza of the state Department of Labor of Industries; and Frank Newboles of the state Department of Transportation.
