Business is good. We are optimistic about the future and the market for landscape architectural services in general,” said Robert Shrosbree, partner at Site Workshop. “One of our primary goals is to effectively manage our recent growth.”
Site Workshop now has nine on staff and will add one more, doubling the size of the firm since it was founded three years ago. The firm pursues design projects for institutional, civic, academic and health care environments.
“We are finding that clients are increasingly concerned about facility security and green design,” said Shrosbree.
Projects:
- Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center, designed with Miller/Hull and completed last fall, includes a new multipurpose indoor facility, a rooftop plaza with views of International Fountain, and nearly 2 acres of green space. The project which has won multiple awards recognizing its sustainable design, is a redevelopment of the former Flag Pavilion site.
- Snohomish County campus is a streetscape and park space plan for a three-block government center in downtown Everett, designed with NBBJ. It will link primary civic, cultural and business spaces in the central business district.
- UW Bioengineering and Genomic Sciences buildings, with architect Anshen+Allen of Los Angeles, are part of a major expansion of the University of Washington’s southwest campus, destined to become a key link between the central campus and the Portage Bay waterfront.
- Skilled nursing facility expansion to the existing Washington State Veterans Home in Retsil. Designed with NBBJ, it will house 240 residents in a hilltop courtyard environment on the historic 40-acre campus.
