FSi Engineers announced the hiring of two new team members. Faheem Gaballah has joined the firm's electrical engineering team. Gaballah brings eight years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Machines from Benha University.

FSi also welcomed Mike Wierusz as an engineer in the firm's Seattle office. Wierusz brings a BSME from the University of Washington, four years of service in the US Army, and eight years of mechanical design experience to the team. He is a returning employee who left FSi to spend time teaching engineering to high school students.

FSi also announced the promotion of Rick Himmel to principal. In 2018, Himmel joined FSi as a Sr. Associate, bringing with him more than three decades of industry experience and a passion for mechanical engineering. In the four years he has been at FSi he has moved to the Inland Northwest to lead the Spokane office. Himmel has broadened FSi's portfolio. His expertise, backed by FSi's portfolio of higher education labs, has created opportunities for FSi to design new private sector life sciences buildings. His work at FSi also includes large-scale projects for The Boeing Company, Sound Transit, and King County Harborview Medical Center.

PACE Engineers, Inc. announced ten promotions. Nick James was promoted to project designer II and Everett CAD lead. James has 16 years of experience and has been with PACE for 11 years. He works on commercial, municipal, and residential site development projects. He currently provides utility design for the WSDOT SR 167, I-5 to SR 509 – New Expressway design-build team.

Brian Way, PLA, ASLA, LEED® AP, is now a project manager at PACE. Way's 25 years of landscape architecture experience includes LEED® certified and low-impact development projects. He has incorporated and designed green roofs, permeable pavements, bioretention, rain gardens, and stormwater planter systems. Way recently worked on the NAIOP's Night of the Stars Award-nominated Terrace Station project. Additionally, his recent project with Housing Hope in Sultan, WA, broke ground at the beginning of 2022.

Jack Seeds, PLS, has been promoted to principal surveyor. Seeds has played a key role in the firm's land surveying department for the last six years. With 28 years of experience, he manages various projects and mentors survey staff. Seeds provides valuable oversight and recommendations for schools, special purpose districts, cities, state and private PACE clients.

Jay Pullen was promoted to engineer II. Pullen joined PACE three years ago and is responsible for utility design and grading, report writing, and assisting project managers. He has been busy working on multiple Aegis Living projects, townhomes, and apartment projects.

Chris Anderson, PE, SE, has been promoted to senior principal engineer. Anderson joined PACE in 2014 and manages the firm's Lake Oswego Office. He has 17 years of experience completing structural designs in the consulting engineering field. During his tenure at PACE, four other firms requested him to lead their in-house engineering teams from project design through construction. He spent 12 months leading a team of international engineers to design a large overseas industrial facility.

Matthew Lemley, EIT, is now an engineer II. Lemley joined PACE three years ago. Lemley served in the United States Navy and retired as a Lieutenant Commander after twenty years of service. While in the Navy, Lemley earned a chemistry degree and most of his engineering degree. Following his Navy career, Lemley finished his engineering degree and subsequently joined PACE. At PACE, Lemley is responsible for developing safe and code-compliant structural designs, with emphasis on constructability, economy, and responsiveness to client goals. Currently, he is working on the Portland International Airport redevelopment project.

Aaron Rapozo, PE, has been promoted to project engineer. Rapozo joined PACE in 2016 and has seven years of experience providing civil engineering for transportation, water, sewer, and storm drainage projects. Recently, he has specialized in small water system designs for agricultural clients. He is located in PACE's Wenatchee office and works on projects for the Cities of Pasco, Cashmere, and Quincy.

John Forba, PE, is now a senior project manager at PACE. Forba is a civil engineer with 15 years of experience. He is a key member of PACE's municipal department. He specializes in plan review and surface water design, including LID and Green Stormwater Infrastructure solutions. He currently leads projects for the Cities of SeaTac, Brier, Kenmore, Mukilteo, and Tukwila.

Kayla Yepez has been promoted to marketing coordinator. Yepez joined PACE at the beginning of 2021. She graduated from the University of Washington in 2020 with a degree in Business Administration with a marketing concentration. Yepez's everyday tasks include developing proposals, coordinating events, creating advertisements, executing public relations, and strategizing and managing PACE's social media.

Kristen Mohr is now a CAD technician II. Mohr joined PACE in 2020. One of her most notable projects is the Portland International Airport Terminal Core Redevelopment, where she models structural and seismic mechanical supports, verifies geometry, and coordinates with other disciplines. Mohr was recently named a Daily Journal of Commerce Oregon Women of Vision Honorees.

Blueline has eight new hires. Breanne Nychuk was hired as an engineer to work on public projects. She received her degree in Civil Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering from McGill University in Montreal and has fiver years of experience supporting development from a feasibility level through construction.

Matt Roberts was hired as an engineer to work on residential projects. He recently received his degree in Civil Engineering from Gonzaga University and is joining Blueline straight out of college.

Cyrus Oswald joins the firm as an assistant planner to support the land use planning team. He recently received his degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont and has experience with sustainable local business practices and transit planning.

Jenelle Ho was hired as an engineer to work on public projects. She received her degree in Civil Engineering from Seattle University and has experience interning with Seattle Public Utilities as a drainage and wastewater modeling and operations intern.

Niomi Montes De Oca joins the firm as a senior planner to support long-range and current planning projects for the public and private sector. She received her MS in Planning from the University of Arizona and has been a Municipal Planner since 2012 and has experience serving as a senior planner with the City of Redmond.

Michelle Blankas was hired as a planner to support planning projects for the public and private sector. She received her MS in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado. Blankas' experience ranges from being an executive assistant for a small non-profit, a farmer, an administrative assistant for a city attorney's office, and most recently a Planner I in Boulder County.

Betty Padgett was hired as a permit technician. She is a graduate of Texas State University with a B.S. in Resource and Environmental Studies, a GIS Certificate, and a minor in economics. Padgett will be helping coordinate permits and serving as a liaison between clients and local jurisdictions for Blueline.

Su Wanqin joins the firm as a landscape architect. She received her B.S. in Landscape Architecture from Tongi University in Shangai, her M.S. in Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University, and an M.S. of Business Administration from the International Technological University. Wanqin held her most previous position at a landscape architecture and civil engineering firm for nearly four years has been a licensed Landscape Architect since 2021.

Historic Seattle welcomed Megan Stanek as the organization's new horticulture manager. Stanek has a degree in Plant Science and a robust professional background in managing botanical gardens. She will be improving the gardens at Historic Seattle's properties for both humans and non-human critters.
