Selected by invitation only, the Counselors of Real Estate organization has approximately 1,000 members worldwide and offers expert and objective advice to corporation, government, financial institutions and pension fund on a wide variety of real estate related matters.

The Traver Company has been selected by Step by Step Graphics from a field of nearly 2,000 entries, for inclusion in the 1997 Design Process Annual. The company will be showcased in an article depicting the design process of Jim Rittiman, related species, a gallery exhibition catalogue produced for Meyerson & Nowinski Art Associates. The Traver Company is also designing a comprehensive sales and marketing collateral system for the Washington State Convention & Trade Center.
Digital Kitchen, a Seattle-based broadcast design firm, has hired Mary Edmonds as client services director. Edmonds will focus her efforts on account management and production coordination for accounts such as Intel, Nike, Precor and K2. The offices of Digital Kitchen are located in Bellevue.

Lizanne Vaughan has joined the Seattle law firm of Oles Morrison & Rinker as a construction industry consultant in the firm's Construction and Public Law Group. Vaughan will assist clients in the design stage, bid process, drafting and negotiation of contracts, claim evaluation and preparation, and final close-out for construction projects.
The Seattle based CPA firm of Moss Adams LLP has issued a master license to Moores Rowland International Europe to be the distributor of its Profit Mentor and WinCredit software products, and associated banker and business owner training programs in Western Europe. Brussels based Moores Rowland International Europe will offer sub-licenses to its member firms. Paardekooper & Hoffman, located in The Netherlands, and Fiduciaire Moores Rowland in Belgium are the first two sub-licensees. Profit Mentor is a Windows based financial analysis and forecasting tool used by businesses, accountants and consultants to evaluate financial performance and develop comprehensive long- and short-range forecasts of income statements, balance sheets and cash flow. WinCredit is based on the same software but is used by commercial banks and other credit sources to assist them in making lending decisions. The firm's training programs for businesses are designed to help owner and their key managers improve their financial management skills. The banker training programs are geared to assist bankers to develop and evaluate credit relationships; and its CPE training is designed to help CPAs improve their value-added consulting skills. These programs are typically sponsored by independent third parties such as banks, trade and professional associations, corporations and economic development agencies. Northwest Lodging Inc. has named Robert Hoagland as the new senior vice president of operations. Previously, Hoagland served as vice president of franchise services and design and construction for HFS, Inc. in New Jersey. Northwest Lodging specializes in operating mid-market Ramada and Howard Johnson branded inns and hotels. The company currently manages 15 full and limited-service properties throughout California, Washington, Oregon, Texas and Arizona. Hoagland also holds a post on the company's executive committee.
On Monday, March 10, Seattle Design Center will unveil DesignHome '97. DesignHome '97 will consist of two condominium homes that reflect the lifestyle and design preferences of Monique Andree Barbeau, executive chef of Fullers in the Sheraton Seattle Hotel & Towers, and John Stanford, Superintendent of Seattle Public Schools, and his wife Pat. The homes showcase the value of good interior design and quality home furnishings. DesignHome '97 is a collaboration between Seattle Design Center and Joe Ruggiero, an interior designer, television personality and former editor of Home Magazine. It is Ruggiero's first concept home project designed in conjunction with real-life clients. DesignHome will incorporate products and services of more than 15 Seattle Design Center showrooms and 45 manufacturers. Tours of DesignHome will be available to the public.
