David Clinkston has been promoted to senior associate at Hewitt Isley. He joined the firm three years ago, and is currently project architect for the Edmonds and Bainbridge Island overhead passenger loading ferry terminals. Michael R. Anderson has also been named a senior associate. His 22 years of professional experience in the Seattle area has emphasized urban housing. He is currently project architect for Harbor Steps East. Robert S. Berman, a new associate, is an accredited planner with over five years of experience. He managed master planning and facility improvements for the Bainbridge Island ferry terminal. Douglas R. Snider, also a new associate, has over 20 years of landscape architecture and urban design experience. He is currently project landscape architect for streetscapes, pedestrian plazas and open spaces for Redmond Town Center. Michael R. Moosmann, now an associate, joined the firm three years ago as information systems manager. His background is in the fields of architecture, engineering and construction.
Christopher L. Thompson has been made regional manager and senior associate for Degenkolb Engineers, managing the new Portland office for the firm. Thompson joined Degenkolb in 1996 and has seven years of structural engineering experience in the Portland area, including seismic retrofit and renovation of existing structures for health care, university, corporate and municipal clients. Degenkolb also has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles, and currently has 71 full-time employees. Jeffrey R. Soulages, who joined Degenkolb in 1990, now serves as an associate on projects in the Portland office. His structural engineering experience includes the new design and post-earthquake repair at the Veterans Administration Sepulveda campus and the design of a new medical office building for Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco. He served as editor of the Vision 2000 report, "Performance Based Seismic Engineering of Buildings," produced by the Structural Engineers Association of California. Stacy J. Bartoletti joined Degenkolb in 1993 and now serves as a design engineer in the Portland office. Bartoletti's experience includes General Services Administration seismic hazard evaluations at various locations; various seismic upgrades for the State of California, and a seismic evaluation, inspection and upgrade program for Hewlett-Packard. Eric D. Thomas recently joined Degenkolb and serves as a design engineer on projects in the Portland office. He has experience in designing new facilities and the seismic renovation of existing facilities for health care, municipal, corporate, and university clients. John H. Thomsen IV joined Degenkolb in 1995 and serves as a designer in the Portland office. His experience includes university building seismic studies and the seismic program for Hewlett Packard. David A. Basurto recently joined the Portland office of Degenkolb Engineers as a senior CAD specialist. Paige C. Jackson, has joined Degenkolb Engineers in Portland as office manager.

Doug Dixon has been appointed Marine Division manager of Lunde Electric Company Inc. Dixon has 22 years of experience in the marine industry, is a licensed engineer and holds a degree in naval architecture and marine engineering from the University of Michigan. Lunde has offices in Seattle, Tacoma and Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
Due to increased business volume, Lease Crutcher Lewis has added seven employees to its ranks. Greg Smyth is a senior estimator and preconstruction manager; Charles Carrier a project manager; Bob Eick, Reyhan Oztelcan and Bryce Given are project engineers; Marla Widdowson is an administrative assistant; and Wayne Tucker has returned to the company to assist with administration and information services.
SEATTLE -- Sheldon & Associates, an environmental consulting firm specializing in aquatic resources analysis, regulatory compliance and compensation design, has hired Kim Harper as a senior wetland ecologist. Harper has more than six years of wetlands and wildlife-related experience in the Northwest, Alaska and Montana. She is the primary author of the Natural Resource Management Plan for the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. Harper has managed projects with budgets up to $240,000.

Horton Lantz Marocco (HLM), a Seattle marketing and creative services agency, has added the following people to its creative staff. Gary LaComa joins as creative director, art director and project manager; Randy Urquhart joins as senior designer, and Suzie Lettunich will serve as copywriter and account manager.

Steve Johnson has joined Bouillon Christofferson & Schairer (BC&S) as operations and business director. He comes from Alliant Techsystems of Mukilteo, and holds a master of business administration degree from Seattle University. Greg Vail has been promoted to electrical engineering manager. His current projects include: Pacific Place, the expansion of City Light Building for Expediters International and facilities at Lakeside School.
Gerald Reifert, Anne Schopf, and Mathieu Jacobs have been promoted to the position of associate at Mahlum & Nordfors McKinley Gordon. Reifert, who joined the firm in 1988, has worked on projects for the Edmonds School District, Virginia Mason Clinic, and the Highline School District. He recently completed design work on the award-winning Chief Leschi School for the Puyallup Tribe. Schopf migrated from New York in 1990 to join the firm as a design architect. Her work incudes King Count Health Clinics, the Portland Community College student services building, and the design of the firm's new office in Portland. Jacobs has spent most of his time since joining the firm in 1988 completing outpatient clinics for Legacy Health Systems and Health First, including the Hall Boulevard and Tualatin Clinics. He is now project manager for the Timberline Software corporate headquarters in the Portland area and a new manufacturing facility for Audio Precision.
Jim C. DeSalvo and Mark R. Pierepiekarz have been promoted to the level of associate at RSP/EQE. DeSalvo, a structural engineer, has provided engineering services for Franklin High School, Lakeside School and for the climbing pinnacle at the REI flagship store. Pierepiekarz's recent projects include seismic analysis for Weyerhaeuser corporate facilities, Vancouver Port Corporation marine facilities, and bridges for the Washington State Department of Transportation. Greg J. Gilda, A. Blaze Bresko, John M. Barry, Jack H. Wiggins, and John H. Riley have been promoted to project manager at RSP/EQE. Gilda's recent projects include structural design for the Upper Skagit Assisted Living facility and seismic upgrades for the SeaTac International Airport and the original Seattle City Light Building. Bresko, who specializes in new construction, counts the REI flagship store, Tukwila Community Center, Waterfront Landings and Marriott Hotel among his past projects. Barry is currently at work on additions to the Refectory and McAllister Fine Arts buildings at Lakeside School. He is the project manager for several assisted living facilities throughout the U.S. Wiggins, who has special expertise in seismic analysis and risk assessment, has provided services for the Port of Vancouver, Nintendo and the Boeing Corporation. Riley is currently at work on structural design for the Waterfront Landings Condominiums and for the seismic retrofit of SeaTac International Airport.
Ron Cook has served with Gray & Osborne, Inc., Consulting Engineers, for 50 years. He joined the company in Yakima in 1947 and came to the Seattle office in 1961.
Lucito Gatlabayan has joined HDR Engineering Inc. as a railway project manager in the company's Bellevue office. He specializes in railway track design, and his experience includes heavy and light railway, roadway and highway design as well as municipal engineering.
Jerry Jacksha has joined the Portland office of Hart Crowser, Inc. as an associate and geotechnical engineering project manager. With over 23 years of experience in geotechnical, civil and environmental engineering, Jacksha had spent his entire professional career with CH2M Hill.
John G. Smith has joined Coughlin Porter Lundeen as a structural engineer and project manager. His current projects include Highline Community Hospital addition, Unigard Office Park, Zymogenetics pilot plant, and the Northeast 58th Street mixed-use facility. Robert S. Cochran has joined the firm as a structural engineer and is now at work on the Medina Elementary School addition and modernization, Tyee Middle School addition and modernization, Mt. Vernon Fire Station #2, Marsh Commons townhomes and Microsoft Network Migration in Redmond.
Mike Zeman has joined the staff of Landau Associates, Inc. as an assistant engineer. Leslee Conner, a hydrologist with 13 years of professional environmental experience, has been promoted to associate. Dennis Stefani, director of Landau's environmental management and compliance group, has also been promoted to associate.
Courtney E. Owens has joined the administrative staff of W&H Pacific as an administrative assistant. She holds a degree in speech communications from the University of Washington.
Molbak's, a family owned specialty retailer in gardening, gifts, floral design, patio furniture and Christmas decor located in Woodinville, has promoted Mike Coie to president and chief executive officer and Kirsten Molbak to vice chairman.
