Ron Morford has been promoted to vice president of the Equipment Division at General Construction Company in Seattle. Morford has worked at General for 15 years as a superintendent, project engineer, project manager, general superintendent and construction manager. His new duties include asset management of the company's marine and land equipment, plus construction management of dredging, heavy lift and special marine projects. He holds a civil engineering degree from Washington State University and has attended Texas A&M.

AdCorp has appointed Keith Weathers as senior art director overseeing the Graphic Design Department at the Redmond company's design, photography, electronic pre-press and printing facility.
fine.com Interactive has added the following to its staff: Mark Sherman joins as a producer; Tim Fletcher, senior producer; Susan Slagle, marketing manager, and Nicklas Malik, senior database designer. fine.com is a Seattle-based web site design and interactive marketing firm.
Lisa Schaff has established Northwest Novelty Products, a specialty advertising and promotional support company. Emphasis will be placed on specialty advertising with marketing support in the areas of writing press releases, brochures, sales literature, designing web pages, and packaging corporate/sales messages in screensaver format.

Seattle-based Design Intelligence has hired Clent Richardson as vice president of strategic relations.
Robert George has been appointed treasurer and controller of Esterline Technologies. Located in Bellevue, Esterline is a manufacturer of engineered products for the commercial aircraft, aerospace and defense industries; automated equipment for the production of printed circuit boards and metal fabrication; and instrumentation for quality control.
Douglas A. Bors and Eric T. Overton have been named vice presidents at Sparling. They will continue to lead design studios in addition to serving on the board of directors. Bors joined Sparling in 1980 with degrees in architecture and electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He leads the firm's telecommunications and technology studios. His current projects include design for the Zymogenetics addition, technology consulting for Rocky Mountain College and the Microsoft "Augusta" project, and cable system planning for Tacoma Public Utilities. Overton joined the firm in 1985. As principal in charge, he led the design team that designed three million square feet of corporate office and technology space for Microsoft. Other clients include AT&T, Providence Health Systems, Wyoming Medical Center, Advanced Technology Labs and Fisher Properties.
John Tessem has been promoted to associate with Cary Kopczynski & Company of Bellevue. His 13 years of structural engineering and design experience includes the Washington State Convention and Trade Center, the AT&T Gateway Tower, Two Union Square and the Minneapolis Convention Center.
Tom Carlson has joined Jones & Jones Architects and Landscape Architects, where he is responsible for marketing and public relations. He was previously development director of People for Puget Sound, a regional environmental organization devoted to protecting and restoring Puget Sound and the Northwest Straits. He has over 20 years of strategic planning, fundraising, marketing, and management experience.
Rod Hammer has joined Emick Howard & Seibert, Inc. as a project manager and interior designer. He will be primarily responsible for financial and corporate projects. Prior to joining the firm, he was on Seafirst Bank's in-house design staff.
Jim Burton has joined Wanzer Munizza Design Studio as a project architect, responsible for development of retail, corporate interior and custom residential projects. He most recently worked for Cardwell/Thomas & Associates.
