Holaday-Parks

Mechanical contractor Holaday-Parks has hired Juliana Lear as an administrative assistant in its service department and Melissa Tahirak as an engineering assistant in its administrative group.

Rod Hahn Co.

The Rod Hahn Co., a Seattle-based residential remodeler, has brought on William S. Taulbee as its operations manager. Taulbee is responsible for the company's daily production operations, personnel training and growth, and new business development. He holds bachelor's degrees in civil engineering and liberal arts.

Esterline Technologies

Robert D. George was recently promoted to vice president and chief financial officer at Esterline Technologies, a Bellevue-based manufacturer of engineered products for the commercial aircraft, aerospace, and defense industries. George formerly served as treasurer and controller. Robert W. Stevenson is retiring after 31 years with Esterline.

Tiffany Youngren has been hired as marketing coordinator at Design West in Burlington. She is a member of the board of directors of the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce.

Walker & Associates

George Maalouli has joined Walker and Associates as chief photogrammetrist. Prior to joining Walker, he managed a triangulation, remote sensing and photo lab in Saudi Arabia. He recently moderated a session entitled "Effects of Availability of High Resolution Satellite Imagery on Photogrammetric Applications -- What to Expect" at a photogrammetric conference in Portland.

Cierra

Cierra Associates has added three new staff members to its electrical design team. Evan Springfield, senior designer, is working on a fire station in Jefferson County, numerous cell tower sites, and an expansion to Willapa Harbor Hospital near Raymond. Diane Mauer, project designer, recently completed the tenant improvement design for Washington Mutual in the Newmark Building. Jay Tilley, CAD designer, provides computer support and web page design.

Glumac

Mechanical engineer Scott D. Goodwill has joined the Seattle office of Glumac International as an associate. His current projects include the $200 million Lincoln Square development in Bellevue and a life safety analysis for Portland's Wells Fargo Tower. Steven W. Nelson has been promoted to the level of associate with Glumac. He joined the firm in 1998. A mechanical engineer and project manager, he is currently at work on several projects for Legacy Health Care Systems.

Abacus

Robert J. Johnson has joined Abacus Engineered Systems as construction manager. He has a degree in mechanical engineering and recently served as a construction company project manager for "turn key" projects. With Abacus, he is at work on a flour storage and distribution project for Fisher Mills. Aimee D. Urich, lighting engineer, has been promoted to the level of associate with the firm. Her recent projects include the Seattle Cinerama Theatre restoration, the Puget Sound Naval Station physical fitness center, and the Regional Transit Authority rail station in Tukwila.

Stickney Murphy Romine

John L. Woodworth has been promoted to associate at Stickney Murphy Romine. He has been with the firm since 1994, and previously worked with the Davis Partnership of Denver and The Stafford Architects of Seattle. His current projects include Brandon Court a mixed-use project in the Delridge neighborhood, Admiral Apartments, housing for special needs individuals; and Madison Townhomes, market-rate condominiums.

SvR

Marcia West has been elected as an associate at SvR Design Co. West is a landscape architect and wetland specialist and has been with SvR for two years. Her 20 years of professional experience includes numerous resource inventories, habitat evaluations, and site analyses for projects in the Northwest and Northeast. Her work with SvR includes Strandley Manning Lower Pond Restoration, Western Washington State Hospital Legal Offenders Unit landscape design, Holmes Point Emergency Roadway Drainage repairs and private residential projects. Matthew Suhadolnik has also been elected an associate at SvR, with 15 years of experience in the field of landscape architecture. He is a certified irrigation auditor, and his work includes landscape and irrigation design for streetscapes, commercial, recreational and wetland projects. He has been with the firm for four years, and is currently managing projects for the Seattle Parks Department, Edmonds Parks Department, Seattle School District and King County Department of Transportation. Engineer Marc Errichetti, also a new associate at SvR, serves as project manager for storm drainage, utility, transportation and park engineering projects. His projects include Seattle Center International Fountain Revitalization and Holly Park redevelopment. He is currently working on several projects for the 1998 Pioneer Square Neighborhood Plan including a renovation of historic Occidental Avenue. Dina Winkel joined the firm this fall as an CAD technician. Since graduating from the Engineering Academy of Denmark in 1994, she has worked for small industrial engineering firms and the Pike Place Market PDA. Her work at SvR includes the city of Seattle Spot Drainage Improvements, Newport Library and SeaTac Watermain. Mark Nakagawara has joined SvR as a landscape designer. He was previously with Worthy and Associates and David Evans and Associates. He is currently working on Western State Hospital Legal Offender's Unit, Kubota Gardens and Holly Park redevelopment. Steve Hatzenbeler has also joined the staff. He was previously with N.G. Jacobsen & Associates, Inc. where he was involved in parking lot and parking structure schematic design and restoration, and facilities evaluation and analysis. At SvR, he is at work on site development including grading, detention, infiltration and watermain and pond design. Susan Eubank has joined the firm with seven years of civil engineering experience focusing on transportation engineering projects. At SvR, she is involved in infrastructure rehabilitation and site design, and continues her work with transportation engineering. She is currently working on Overlake School Performing Arts Center, 140th/Petrovitsky Road drainage and Holly Park redevelopment.
