BOORA Architects of Portland has promoted Eric Hasenberg to associate principal. An architect with 16 years of experience working on a broad range of project types, Hasenberg joined the firm in 1992. He has worked on a variety of projects, including NikeTowns in Seattle and Honolulu, elementary schools for the Hood River County School District and Eugene Public Schools, and a mixed-use condominium project along Fidalgo Bay in Anacortes. He is the project architect for the $45 million National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Chuck Schott recently joined Berger/ABAM Engineers in Federal Way, a civil and structural engineering firm.
Schott has more than 10 years of professional experience, focusing in the areas of civil transportation design. Prior to joining the firm, Schott worked for Perteet Engineering. His current assignments include the South 180th Street grade separation project for the city of Tukwila, Pierce County's Chambers Creek master plan, and the city of Burien's roadway and drainage design standards. He is assigned to the public works division of the firm.
Wooksuk Anh has also joined the firm. Anh has more than eight years of experience in structural analysis, repair and design. He specializes in the durability of concrete structures; design of post-tensioned, reinforced concrete structures; rehabilitation and repair; and long-term, soil-structure interaction studies. He is working on the Pier 36 Alpha project for the U.S. Coast Guard. He will primarily support the firm's domestic waterfront division.
Scott Hufford, a recent graduate of the University of Washington, is another new employee. He is working on the Thea Foss Waterway remediation project for the city of Tacoma. He is also assigned to the firm's domestic waterfront division.
Jeffrey Juel has been hired at INCA Engineers in Bellevue as a senior project manager. He has 16 years of engineering experience in the design of large civil works and military projects. Prior to joining the firm, Juel worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Seattle.
Randy Barber, Frederico Chrestesen, Lois Felker and Frank Martin are new employees at Olympic Associates Co., a Seattle architectural, engineering, project and construction management firm.
Barber joins the firm as senior construction manager. His 20 years of experience covers a variety of civil and building projects from concept through occupancy.
Chrestesen has been hired as a project engineer. He was formally trained as a civil engineer in Brazil and brings to Olympic two years in the international construction industry.
Felker is the firm's administrative assistant. In her past employment, she provided insurance claims investigation, report processing and network administration.
Martin has been hired as a construction manager and architect. With more than 18 years in the construction industry, his experience includes multifamily housing development, medical facilities and retrofits of older buildings.

Eton Technical Institute, a secondary technical education institute in Everett, announced the move of its campus to a new, state-of-the-art facility adjacent to the Everett Mall. The new location occupies the sixth floor of the of the Everett Mall Office Park Building Three and was designed by Connell Design Group of Mountlake Terrace.

Monty Edberg has joined the Portland office of Berger/ABAM Engineers. The civil and structural engineering firm specializes in building, public works, special structure, transportation and waterfront projects. Edberg has more than seven years of experience in the design and management of both public and private sector engineering projects. His expertise is in water resources engineering. Prior to joining the firm, he worked with Otak and KPFF's Portland office. His projects at Berger/ABAM include the Texas City International Terminals with Stevedoring Services of America and the McChord Air Force Base C-17 Nosedock Hanger extension, an assignment with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Scott McMahon has recently rejoined the firm and is also working in the Portland branch. He has more than four years of experience in civil and structural engineering. His focus is in the analysis, design, and cost estimating of various transportation facilities, including concrete, timber and steel bridges. He had worked for the Indiana-based engineering firm Lawson-Fisher Associates, performing roadway and bridge design and rehabilitation. He is performing on-call contract work for the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Mark Steepy has been named associate at KPFF Consulting Engineers, a Seattle-based structural and civil engineering firm. Steepy, a civil engineer, is working on the retail redevelopment of Kirkland Parkplace and Westwood Town Center. He is also providing site and infrastructure planning on the redevelopment of the 150-acre Satsop Nuclear Power Plant site, as well as site design on multiple Les Schwab Tire facilities throughout the region.
Steepy has recently completed the Quinalt Resort complex in Ocean Shores, KOMO Plaza in downtown Seattle and the SuperMall of the Great Northwest in Auburn.
Carla Goroski has been hired as the new project administration manager at Reid Middleton, a civil and structural engineering, planning and surveying firm based in Everett. Goroski comes to Reid Middleton from Edmonds-based Landau Associates. There, she held a variety of positions, most recently serving as director of finance and administrative services. She brings 13 years of consulting industry experience, managing accounting departments, supervising administrative managers, negotiating and reviewing contracts, and managing technical staff workload.
David Harms has been hired as a project engineer at Roth Hill Engineering, a civil engineering firm based in Bellevue. The firm specializes in municipal utility and street design and construction. Harms has more than 18 years of regional experience in stormwater, water and sanitary sewer systems analysis, planning, design and construction.
Rodney Roberts has joined Roth Hill as construction services manager for the firm's construction administration and observation group. He has more than 20 years of experience throughout the Northwest in construction of civil, municipal and government facility projects.
Three new employees have joined Architects Kubota Kato Chin, a Seattle firm.
Jeffery Ocampo is a returning staff architect assigned to work on a 22-unit condominium at 15th Street and Yesler Way, and phase two of the International District Village Square mixed-use project.
Karen Kyle is a staff architect assigned to Ferin Condominiums, Mercer Island Condominiums and a renovation to Richmond Highlands Community Center.
Graham Yip is a staff architect working on Bellevue Square Condominiums, Mercer Island Condominium, a single-family house and the First Hill Light Rail Station for Sound Transit.
Tom Hille has been named a principal of Integrus Architecture, a firm with offices in Seattle and Spokane. The design manager for the Seattle office, Hille is working on the Terrace Park K-8 School for the Edmonds School District, and White River High School for the White River School District. His background encompasses a wide range of project types including institutional, commercial and housing projects, and extensive research regarding educational architecture. Previously, he worked for firms in Boston and Denver. He was an assistant professor at the University of Michigan and a visiting assistant professor at both the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and The School of Architecture at the Catholic University of Chile.
Kevin Brown has joined the structural group at Symonds Consulting Engineers, a civil and structural engineering and surveying firm with offices in Seattle and Portland. Brown comes to Symonds from Bill Jenkins Associates in Mammoth Lakes, Calif., where he designed residential structures. Prior to that, he provided bridge design at Harding Lawson Associates in Bellevue. He is currently working on tenant improvements in Key Tower and on retaining walls at Cedar Mountain Bridge.
Virginia Harris has been added to the firm's civil group. With 13 years experience, primarily in the public sector, she is providing civil design on South Spokane Street Viaduct widening.
