Rusty George Design has hired two new people. Denette Cowan is an account manager and Dana Kagey is studio manager. The design firm specializes in corporate identification programs, marketing communications and digital solutions.

Jeremy Evard and
John Stormont to associate. Since joining the Seattle office in 2003, Evard has had a key role in projects such as the Chaoyang Plaza in Beijing, and the office of the state Attorney General. He also recently completed a master plan for the city of Puyallup. Stormont joined in 2003. As a technical lead, Stormont has knowledge in design development, technical detailing and building codes. He has worked on projects for Siemens, WPP and Bank of America.

The mechanical consulting firm CDi Engineers announced the addition of six engineering staff members to its Lynnwood office:
Mark Stavig, Jill Connell, Lisa Rosenow, Robert Kuchcinski, Marc Rypdahl and
Frank Colon. Stavig is working on projects at St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham and Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle, as well as design of a new alternative high school for the Edmonds School District. Connell is working on a renovation of Cascade Medical Center in Leavenworth, an infrastructure upgrade at University of Washington's Wilcox Hall, and is managing multiple projects at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. She is a LEED accredited. Rosenow has been working on energy studies for Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, and Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, Calif. Kuchcinski is working on a remodel of St. John the Evangelist Church in Seattle, the new Walter Clore Wine and Culinary Center in Prosser and various projects at Valley Medical Center in Renton. Rypdahl is working on projects at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass, Ore., St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Ore., and the new Community Cancer Center at Providence Everett Medical Center's Colby Campus. Colon's projects include Bay View Tower in Bellingham, Shoreline Community College's Pagoda Union Building remodel, and several projects at St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham.

Kelly Mamer recently joined Sparling as a project manager with 14 years of project management experience on health care, retail, commercial, mixed use, higher education and government projects in Oregon, Washington and Utah. Mamer's current Sparling projects include the Westfield Shoppingtown Southcenter Mall Expansion in Tukwila, The Landing mixed-use development in Renton, and St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor. He is LEED accredited.

Architectural Elevator Consulting recently hired
Eric Holman. He will manage government projects and strengthen AEC's code expertise. Holman is a certified inspector and supervisor and recently supervised 15 elevator inspectors at a prominent elevator inspection and consulting firm in Philadelphia.
Bush, Roed & Hitchings has added three staff members.
Jay Decker rejoined the firm as a senior project manager. He originally joined BRH in 1990, and has a total of eight years with the company. Decker is working on BMW dealerships: a remodel in Bellevue and a new facility in Seattle, three residential towers in Seattle and the remodel of St. Mary's Convent on Meydenbauer Bay in Bellevue.
Sara Martin, a recent Seattle University civil engineering graduate, joined as a design engineer. She is working on restaurant chain sites in several locations, condominium sites in Bellevue and Seattle and a large retail center in Port Orchard.
Oliver Robar joined the firm as a survey CAD technician and future project manager. Robar, who has seven years experience, is working on a condominium building in Seattle, a retail and condominium mixed use building in Seattle, four King County libraries and the Thea Foss Waterway remediation project in Tacoma.
Quantum Consulting Engineers has promoted Scott Tinker to associate. He is the project engineer for Safari Drive in Scottsdale, Ariz., a 227-unit mixed-use residential complex with the Miller/Hull Partnership. Quantum also recently hired Elizabeth Geglia as marketing coordinator.
IA Interior Architects announced that David Kutsunai has been promoted to principal in the firm's Seattle office. Since joining IA in 2002, Kutsunai has led the design of projects such as Amazon.com's headquarters and projects for Microsoft, Washington Mutual and Citigroup/Smith Barney.Kutsunai earned bachelor of arts and master degrees in architecture from the University of Washington, and currently teaches design at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle.
