USKH

USKH added Dan Whittaker, senior architect, Debbie French, interior designer II, Leif Hanson, staff architect and Jennifer Leui, administrative assistant to the Architectural Department of the Spokane office. Whittaker's experience includes historic reconstruction and renovation, commercial, light industrial buildings and medical facilities. French has experience in tenant improvements, design-build, higher education, medical facilities, corporate design and assisted-living. Hanson will work on a variety of projects, producing construction drawings, cost estimates and architectural renderings. Leui is a graduate of North Idaho College and holds an associate of applied science.

Jeremy Mason has transferred to Kleinfelder's Seattle office from the Pittsburg, Calif., office, as the material testing and construction inspection group manager. Mason has worked on projects for WSDOT, Turner Construction, Seattle Public Utilities and Parsons Brinkerhoff Construction Services and has been involved in Seattle projects such as Mirabella Retirement. He managed the materials group and multiple discipline project teams in California, Washington and Alaska.

Degenkolb Engineers promoted David Gonzalez to associate principal. He joined the firm in 2000 and has extensive experience with seismic evaluation and upgrade projects in the education, health care and public sectors.

SRG promoted Duncan Thieme to firm principal at the Seattle office. A LEED-accredited architect, Thieme has a 17-year background that includes complex projects such as Bellevue City Hall. He is working on the redevelopment of Pike Place Market. SRG also hired Uwe Bergk as an interiors staff member. Bergk has 17 years of experience and is working on the University of Washington Savery Hall renovation. Monte Ypma has been promoted to associate. He is a LEED-accredited designer in SRG's Portland office with an 11-year career in higher education, schools and performing arts projects. He recently completed work on Pacific University's College of Health Professions in Hillsboro, Ore. Louise Foster has rejoined the Portland office as a project designer, bringing 22 years of experience that includes prior employment at SRG from 2001-2003. She is focused on the renovation of Portland State University's historic Shattuck Hall. Bryan Higgins rejoined SRG as a LEED-accredited project designer in January after previous employment with SRG from 2000 to 2006. His 15 years of experience have been focused on higher education, libraries and public schools, including the University of Puget Sound Science Center. Kent Duffy was recently awarded fellowship in the American Institute of Architects. He is an award-winning design principal in SRG's Portland office with more than 30 years of experience, and specializes in learning environments, science buildings, campus master planning and sustainable design. Duffy is working on a new Joint Science Building for Pitzer, Scripps and Claremont McKenna colleges.

Aguilar
Jessica Aguilar has joined the Seattle office of Berger/Abam Engineers. Aguilar has four years of experience in civil engineering, including roadway design, stormwater analysis and utility design for water and sewer. She has worked on transportation improvements and buildings for clients including the Washington State Department of Transportation, Oregon Department of Transportation and the cities of Seattle, Redmond and Sammamish.

Perkins+Will named Amanda Sturgeon a senior associate and Dan Seng, Amy Portz Williams, and Andy Clinch associates. Sturgeon has 12 years of experience working with public and educational projects. Seng has 12 years of experience working on education, commercial, corporate and public projects. Williams has 10 years of architectural experience, with a focus on higher education, civic and science and technology. Clinch has 10 years experience working on science and technology, commercial, corporate and public projects.

MulvannyG2 Architecture

MulvannyG2 Architecture promoted Ted Caloger and Greg Krape to senior principals. Caloger's position is technical design leader for the commercial group, which works on retail, corporate and mixed-use projects. Krape is the market leader for the corporate and mixed-use core markets. He played a key role in the design and development of MulvannyG2's headquarters, One Twelfth @ Twelfth in Bellevue, and the Esplanade condos in Tacoma and Escala condos in Seattle.

BLRB Architects

BLRB Architects added five staff members to its Tacoma office. Scott Hogman joined as a construction administrator. He is working on the Bow Lake Elementary School for Highline School District. Donna Lange joined as an administrative assistant. She will serve as the front desk receptionist and assist on administrative tasks. Susan Ramsdell is a construction administrative assistant. Moti Thapa is a construction administrator. He is working on the Bremerton High School and Mountain View Middle School projects for Bremerton School District. Julie Van Slyke is a construction administrative assistant.

Jones & Jones

Jones & Jones made David J. Matthews a principal and equity partner. His focus will be the development of recreational and campus master planning work, and support of its zoo design practice. As quality assurance manager, he oversees construction documentation, specifications and production standards. He currently oversees the remodel and expansion of the 100-year-old Monterey Hotel building in the Pioneer Square Historic District, which will provide loft apartments and a new home for the Chief Seattle Club. He's also managing zoological exhibits in Los Angeles, San Antonio and Dublin, and has just completed the master plan of Seoul Grand Park Zoo in South Korea.

PCS Structural Solutions

PCS Structural Solutions added several staff members in the Tacoma office. Heath Mitchell is project engineer for the MultiCare Emergency Department expansion. Andy Schildmeyer is design engineer for Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound. Nathan White is design engineer for Eatonville High School, Nick Gailushas is design engineer for PTC Personal Care Services Center, Tacoma. Kyle Eyre is design engineer for Normandy Park retail. Brianna Schroeder is design engineer for South Shore K-8 School, Seattle School District. Drew Graham has been hired for the Seattle office as design engineer and is working on St. Anthony's Hospital in Gig Harbor. Caron Monks has joined as marketing manager.

Kittelson & Associates

Kittelson & Associates has named seven new shareholders. They are Chris Brehmer, Marc Butorac, Julia Kuhn, Ed Myers, Brian Ray, John Ringert and Beth Wemple. These seven join Wayne Kittelson, John Zegeer and Mark Vanhehey as shareholders. With offices in Portland and Boise, KAI provides transportation system expertise in engineering, planning, transit, research and education services.

Planning Solutions

Planning Solutions named Christopher Baumann principal in charge of landscape architecture and vice president. He has been the project manager in planning and landscape architecture on public and private sector projects including mixed-use villages, Kiwanis Park, Columbia Tech Center, 192nd Scenic Overlook and Schnitzer Steel River Frontage.

CDM

Pamela J. Philip has been promoted to vice president. Philip is an environmental scientist with 19 years of environmental investigations and Superfund experience. Philip has been responsible for managing and providing technical support on a variety of assignments including remedial investigation/feasibility studies, preliminary assessments and site inspections, resource conservation and recovery act facility investigations, and brownfields assessments.
