Sparling has made additions to its technology consulting team. Min-Hsao Chen is a land mobile radio consultant, Mark July is an audiovisual consultant and David Yoo is a CADD technician. Chen was the primary design engineer for Grant County PUD’s Fiber-to-the-Home project. He is working on the Spokane County Interoperability and Snohomish County Wireless Data projects. July designed and built one of Presentation Magazine’s top 10 boardrooms in the nation for Durr Industries. He is working on the design team for The Bravern mixed-use building in Bellevue and Skagit Valley College distance learning rooms in Mount Vernon. Yoo brings three years of AutoCAD and electrical engineering design experience to the technology studio.

Giffin Bolte Jurgens hired Keith Pyeatt and Robert Gotham as project architects. Staff member Jackie Gilles has been awarded LEED accreditation. Pyeatt has 30 years of design and project management experience and worked on The Station Place Tower, a 14-story low-income senior housing project in the Pearl District and The Station Place Garage. He is working on a residential project providing temporary housing for families of seriously ill children treated at Multicare Medical Center in Tacoma and overseeing specification writing for other projects. Gotham has 20 years experience and has advanced training in Revit, AutoCAD and 3DSMax. He is a team member for ongoing projects at Multicare Medical Center in Tacoma.

Aspect Consulting

Aspect Consulting recently added Parker Wittman as information management specialist and Nikola Litven as marketing manager to the Seattle location. Wittman has experience in research and data management support and will work on projects ranging from groundwater hydrology to high-energy physics. Litven is responsible for marketing operations, communications, branding, public relations and business development.

The Federal Way office of Berger/Abam hired Carol Beck and Dushyant Arora. Beck, a senior planning manager, has 34 years of experience in the environmental, land use and planning field. Arora has 10 years of experience in structural design of transit-oriented developments, parking garages, and port and terminal facilities. He is working on design of a $160 million container terminal in Cai Mep, Vietnam, for the joint venture firms of Saigon Port and SSA Holdings International.

Golder Associates

Golder Associates appointed new principals and associates within its Redmond and Seattle offices. New principals are Jane Mills, Bryan Rawson and Tony Rice. Mills manages a national consulting team that focuses on real estate, insurance, financial and legal clients. Rawson is chief information officer. Rice is a senior technical and project manager who leads geotechnical projects in the transportation, infrastructure, water resource, pipeline, energy and mining industries. New associates are Grant Bailey and Diane Crawford. Bailey is a senior consultant, program leader and regulatory specialist for the Seattle office. Crawford is a senior environmental scientist and project manager for Seattle.

Seattle-based Sparling has hired Todd Schenbeck as CAD designer and Jessica De Clerck as administrative assistant in the Portland office. Schenbeck has nearly 10 years of AutoCAD and telecommunications experience. His current projects include the Mt. Hood Medical Center. De Clerck will provide administrative support in the firm's Portland office.

BLRB Architects added seven employees. Jim Cockerill is a project architect with 16 years experience. Cockerill is working on South Shore K-8 School for Seattle School District No. 1. John Eddy is a construction administrator/project manager with 32 years spent in construction management. Eddy is working on the Kentlake High School addition for Kent School District and South Bay Elementary School addition/modification for North Thurston Public Schools. Rachel Hansen is a marketing assistant who worked as a political consultant and legislative assistant. Daniel Larson is a CAD draftsperson and is working on Hamilton International Middle School for Seattle School District. William Lee is a CAD draftsperson and is working on the new South Shore K-8 School for Seattle School District. Shane Sabin is a graphic designer in the marketing department. Kelsey Wegener is a returning student intern from Washington State University. Wegener worked with BLRB on University Place Primary and is currently assisting on Curtis Junior High School Replacement for University Place School District.

Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn promoted Rhonda Gillogly and Jason Ramay to associate principal. Gillogly has 23 years experience in architecture and construction project management. She has worked with Pierce County in a multi-phase County City Building renovation project in Tacoma. She is also working with Skagit County on a new Community Justice Center. Ramay, a LEED-accredited professional, is the project manager for a multi-phase Thurston County Customer Service Center project and the new police station for the city of Lakewood. Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn specializes in municipal/civic architecture.

Shockey/Brent hired Peter M. Harvard and Elizabeth Barlow. Harvard will be a senior planner and is a registered landscape architect with three decades of site, master and environmental planning, visual impact assessment, project management and teaching. Barlow is an associate environmental planner. Barlow has been a research assistant and data coordinator.

Interface Engineering

Interface Enginerring hired Philip Michaels as a principal in the Kirkland office. Michaels is a LEED-accredited engineer who is registered in four states and has 17 years experience. Michaels is currently working on the Hillcrest Tower in San Diego and the Lake Whatcom Water & Sewer District facilities.

Farallon Consulting

Farallon Consulting added three staff geologists. Desirée Clement and Jonathan Peterson have joined the Issaquah office and Lyndsey Needham is working in the Bellingham location. Farallon Consulting is an environmental consulting firm specializing in site characterization, engineering design, remediation and related services.
