DKA hired Tracey Silla as a project manager and Amanda Carraway as a project administrative assistant. Silla has 12 years of experience and is providing project management and construction administrative services for the Seattle Public Schools Building Excellence III program, working on South Lake High School. Carraway is also working on the building excellence program, most recently on Cleveland High School. DKA also promoted Karen Antush as a program administrator for the building excellence program. Antush began working for DKA in 1999 and has worked on the building excellence program the entire time. Rico Quirindongo, a project manager at DKA since 1996, completed his architectural registration examination.

Kennedy/Jenks Consultants made several promotions and hires in the business development group. Charles McIntyre has been promoted to director of marketing. He will focus on marketing processes and implement the business development plan. Karen Ball, who formerly served as director of marketing, was promoted to company pursuit manager. Ball will work with client service teams to capture the top 25 marketing pursuits and help identify additional pursuits. Joanmarie Eggert will take over McIntyre’s former position as the Pacific Northwest regional marketing manager. Eggert has 30 years of experience in architecture, engineering and construction management.

Murase Associates hired three landscape designers in its Portland office: Jesse Grafton, Julia Harakay and Molly Gatzlaff. Grafton has experience on medical, educational and residential projects in the Pacific Northwest and is working on Tom Gail Park, Peace Health Sacred Heart Medical Center, and McMinnville Public Schools. Harakay has experience in technical detailing, construction documents, planting plans and irrigation, and is working on projects for the Beaverton School District, Pacific University and Salem Hospital. Gatzlaff has a background in sustainable design, including water-efficient irrigation systems and stormwater recirculation. Gatzlaff is working on expansion and renovation projects at Oregon College of Art and Craft, and Gladstone High School.

IA Interior Architects

IA Interior Architects hired Sofia Galadza as director of public relations. Galadza is former associate editor at Contract magazine and a former editor at Forbes Custom Media. Galadza will be based in New York, with responsibilities for media relations and public relations.

Otak hired eight new people in Washington and Oregon. In Seattle, Otak hired planner Kimberlee Otto. Otto has worked as a private environmental consultant and urban planner in Draper City, Utah, and Ada County, Idaho. In Lake Oswego, Todd Rivers has joined as an architecture job captain, Christopher Yake as a senior planner and Lesley Barewin as a transportation planner. Rivers has more than 13 years of architecture experience in Oregon. Yake managed the Denver Transit-Oriented Development Market Study, drafted the University Park Neighborhood Plan and completed the Alameda Transit-Oriented-Development Station Area Infrastructure Framework Plan in Denver. Barewin specializes in environmental planning for transportation projects. She worked in the planning department at the city of Milwaukie, Ore., assisting with an update to the transportation plan, and for the city of Beaverton in the Solid Waste and Recycling Department. In Long Beach, William Herman joined the firm as a survey technician; Chris Gillespie joined the Gearhart, Ore., office as a survey technician and Jeremy Schad joined the Manzanita, Ore., office as a CAD technician. Herman has 27 years of surveying and engineering experience and Gillespie has more than five years of AutoCAD and field-surveying experience. Ellen Miller joined the Corvallis office as a project engineer. She has eight years of experience in civil engineering design and consulting, including site design, hydrology studies, hydraulic design and groundwater remediation systems. The Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, office has added four engineers and an architect.

Murase Associates hired Jamie Tschida as a landscape designer and Eleanor Carnay as marketing assistant. Tschida is working on Hands On Children's Museum, Nathan Hale High School and the Cityscape redevelopment in Phoenix.

CollinsWoerman hired Tom Hudson as a principal. Hudson has more than 28 years of business, economic development and planning experience, and founded the Moscow, Idaho-based Hudson Co.

CDi Engineers

Connell
CDi Engineers promoted mechanical engineers Jill Connell and Klaus Tilla to associates. Connell is LEED accredited and worked on MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, Microsoft Building 92, the Swedish Educational Conference Center in Seattle and infrastructure upgrades to the University of Washington's Wilcox Hall. Tilla worked on the Emergency Services Tower and the Family Center expansion at Valley Medical Center in Renton. He is working as project manager for a new bed tower and central utility plant at Legacy Emanuel Children's Hospital in Portland.

DKA hired five new employees. Chuck Clegern is a senior project manager. Clegern has more than 30 years of experience providing owner's representative services for development and construction projects and is working on the $15 million Collins Building redevelopment and providing construction management for the $14 million Technology Access Foundation, a nonprofit that develops after-school programs for Seattle area students. Jon Weiss joins DKA as a CAD drafter/designer. Weiss has more than 13 years of CAD experience and is currently working on Phase III of the Seattle Housing Authority's HomeWorks project. Diana Siebenaler joined DKA's Interior Architecture group. Siebenaler is LEED accredited and is working on tenant improvements for the University of Washington Tower project. Anthony Vincent joined DKA as IT manager and Christal Reyna-Duyungan joined DKA as an administrative assistant.

SvR Design Co. hired Nate Cormier as a senior landscape architect and Brice Maryman as a landscape designer. Cormier is LEED accredited and has nine years of landscape design experience. His past projects include Oxbow Park, the Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center in Bellevue and the Mount Baker ridge viewpoint in Seattle. Maryman is LEED accredited and has five years of experience. Maryman's past projects include the Waterfront Condominiums in Reno and HomeWORD affordable housing in Missoula, Mont. He recently finished a low impact development study for the city of Kirkland and is working on a green infrastructure project for the Yale Avenue Campus on South Lake Union.

Perkins+Will

Perkins+Will hired Joey Myers as project designer. Myers has 16 years of design experience, focused in the corporate, commercial, entertainment and hospitality markets. His recent projects include the Eastlake Avenue office and lab building in Seattle and the Capital City Twin Towers project in Moscow.

BLRB Architects

BLRB Architects hired Doug DuCharme and Mark Neely. DuCharme is LEED accredited and has 28 years of experience. He joins BLRB as an associate architect, and will be project manager on Curtis High School for the University Place School District. Neely comes to BLRB as an IT technician. He has 17 years computer experience and will be maintaining and updating internal information technology.

Landau Associates

Landau Associates promoted Jerry Ninteman to director of environmental services. Ninteman is a principal engineer with more than 20 years of experience in environmental remediation and stormwater management. Past clients include Boeing, Port of Seattle and Snohomish County. Founded in 1982, Landau Associates provides environmental, geotechnical and natural resources services from offices in Edmonds, Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, Kennewick and Portland.

Parametrix

Parametrix promoted Dwight Miller to program manager of the environmental engineering and science practice. Miller has more than 21 years of experience with the company, providing senior support for solid and hazardous waste projects, including the Duvall wastewater treatment plant. Miller will work to expand the practice in Boise, Denver and Albuquerque. Parametrix provides engineering, planning and environmental sciences services.

Perteet Engineering

Perteet Engineering hired Brad Collins as a community planning lead. Collins has 37 years of experience in professional planning, most recently as community planning director of the city of Arlington. Collins will work with cities on environmental, land use and community planning projects, including Everett, Mukilteo, Snohomish and Sultan. Perteet is a civil and transportation engineering consulting firm with offices in Everett, Lakewood, Snoqualmie and Portland.
