Gensler

Gensler hired Barry Vaudrin as a senior project manager in Seattle. He is working on projects for technology companies. He spent 10-plus years at Seattle-based Callison, where he was director/project manager working on Microsoft projects and The Bravern in Bellevue. Prior to that, he was a vice president, project manager and project architect with St. Louis-based HOK. Gensler is a design, planning and strategic consulting firm.

Integrus Architecture

Integrus Architecture named Rebecca Baibak a principal, increasing the number of owners to nine. Integrus said her passion for environmental and educational design has been instrumental in its success. Her projects include Rachel Carson and Benjamin Rush elementary schools for Lake Washington School District. She also coordinated the Washington Sustainable Schools Protocol for Lincoln Heights Elementary School in Spokane. Integrus provides architectural, planning, interior design and structural engineering.

AeroMetric

AeroMetric appointed George Maalouli, a vice president, to manage operations in the Seattle office. He joined the firm in 1998 and is a certified photogrammetrist with experience in aerial and satellite imagery. He has supervised projects internationally for governments, engineering consultancies and corporations. AeroMetric is a geospatial solutions company.

Core Design

Core Design hired Kevin Boston as a civil designer supporting project managers on a number of projects. Core is a civil engineering, planning, surveying, landscape architecture and urban design firm serving clients in the Northwest.

Pacland

Pacland hired Ashish (Ash) Sabnekar as a senior traffic engineer and planner, and Erik Finley as a project manager. Sabnekar has 15 years of experience in traffic impact studies and master planning, with knowledge about traffic modeling and animated traffic presentations. Finley's 15 years of experience includes project management, site planning, stormwater management and utility infrastructure design. The Olympia-based firm provides engineering and planning for Pacific Northwest projects.

HKP Architects

HKP Architects promoted Brian Poppe to partner, and Russ Weiser and Kevin Barber to associates. Poppe joined the firm in 1991 and became a senior associate in 2006. His projects include Skagit Valley College Campus Center. Weiser was hired in 1999 and has led design and construction administration teams. His projects include the North Cascades Environmental Learning Center. Barber joined the firm in 2003 with 15 years of experience in commercial development, including master planning for the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community. HKP is an architectural and engineering firm in Mount Vernon.

HDJ Design Group

HDJ Design Group hired Evan Dust as a senior transportation planner. He has 20-plus years of transportation experience. He specializes in demand forecasting, planning, financing, environmental assessment, parking analysis and public outreach. Vancouver-based HDJ is made up of engineers, planners, landscape architects and surveyors.

ALSC Architects

ALSC Architects hired Adam Rouns as an architectural intern and Rex Anderson as a project architect. Rouns earned his master's of architecture from Montana State University in 2010. He is working on the Martin Stadium improvements at Washington State University. Anderson is working on Grant Elementary School in East Wenatchee. Spokane-based ALSC provides planning and design services.

NK Architects

NK Architects hired Jin Lee as a managing associate. Lee has 15-plus years of design experience, including work with Weber Thompson. Lee helped open the Seattle branch of Ankrom Moisan Associated Architects. He will focus on quality control and design direction. NK is a Seattle-based architecture and development firm.

TGB Architects

TGB Architects promoted Melissa Kelii to principal and hired Kathryn Gannon as interior design lead. Kelii has been with the firm since 2006, with a focus on health care. Gannon has experience in interior design and project management, including health care, hospitality, mixed-use and K-12. She worked for TGBA from 2004-2009, and was an interior designer for Integrus Architecture.
