Gabriela Denise Frank as business development manager. She will cultivate new business opportunities and guide marketing strategy. She has worked in the industry for 15 years, including in management and operations for Venture West, an Arizona developer, and on the management team at University Village. She also did marketing and business development for Skanska and Mithun.

Rishi Tirupari as a project manager and promoted
Alexandra Ramsden from studio lead to director of its sustainability studio. Tirupari has worked in design/build for two years as a sustainability engineer. He coordinates LEED certification, application of the Federal Sustainable Design Mandate and energy efficiency upgrades. Ramsden has 12-plus years experience in interior architecture and sustainable design, and is an instructor for the National Sustainable Building Advisor Program. Rushing is a Seattle-based engineering and sustainability consulting firm.
BCRA hired
John Laughery as a GIS technician in its land use planning studio. He previously was a parking subconsultant to Tacoma and worked with that city's urban forester to create a tree inventory. Tacoma-based BCRA provides architecture, land use planning, landscape architecture, interior and graphic design, civil and structural engineering, building science, land surveying, and marketing.

Pei-Chi S. (Scott) Shih as a grade VI engineer in its Seattle office. Shih has 30-plus years of experience as a structural engineer on bridges, transit systems and buildings. His recent projects include bridges, interchanges and corridor improvements in this region. BergerABAM offers program management, civil and structural engineering, land use planning, natural resources, public involvement, construction management and support, and dive services.
Decker Consulting Engineers hired Chad Smith as a senior project designer. Smith has 20-plus years of experience in civil engineering for land development and transportation projects. The Seattle civil engineering firm works on land development and redevelopment.
Derrick Eberle joined the landscape architecture firm of Bruce Dees & Associates in Tacoma as a landscape designer. Eberle will work on design and construction reviews and coordinate marketing.
Andersen Bjornstad Kane Jacobs promoted Dina Winkel to site civil group leader. She joined the firm in 2002 and has worked on Good Samaritan Hospital and Cancer Center in Puyallup. ABKJ is a civil and structural engineering firm in Seattle.
Sarah Hooker transferred from Seattle to GeoEngineers' Spokane office as a geotechnical engineer. Ron Martinez in the Spokane office was promoted to lead technician. Jeff Fealko in the Boise office was promoted to senior engineer from project engineer.
Ridolfi hired Paul Bianco as a senior environmental engineer. He has a background in environmental remediation and civil engineering systems, including water and wastewater treatment plants, fluid transport systems, and hazardous waste treatment. He has recently focused on groundwater remediation systems. The Seattle firm provides environmental engineering and scientific consulting.
