Golder Associates

Golder Associates promoted Phil Osborne and Cheryl Ross to associate. Osborne holds a Ph.D., and is a coastal geomorphologist leading Golder's coastal service group. He specializes in coastal, marine and estuarine environments, and the interactions of coastal processes with engineered structures. Ross has been with the firm since 1999, and is a senior hydrogeochemist. She provides support on mining and water resources projects and leads the water resources and geochemistry group.

Freiheit & Ho Architects

Freiheit & Ho Architects hired Dan Rasmusson as a senior project architect and Theresa Van Ert as marketing coordinator. Rasmusson has 23 years in the profession. He has led design and construction phases, including business development, feasibility studies, concept design, contract documentation, construction administration and quality control. His experience includes mixed-use, retail, educational, hospitality and office design. Van Ert has 14-plus years in graphic design and marketing/communications, mostly in architecture and engineering. She worked for the International Council of Graphic Design Associations in Brussels. Freiheit & Ho provides architecture, planning and interior design.

Brown and Caldwell

Brown and Caldwell hired James Bush as a hydrogeologist and Matt Kennelly as a principal engineer in the Olympia office. Eric Campbell transferred from the Phoenix office to Seattle as a supervising engineer with the electrical and process automation group. Bush holds a bachelor's degree in geological sciences from the University of Idaho. Kennelly has 10-plus years of industry experience. He worked in Florida leading design, construction and startup for water and wastewater facilities. Campbell has 20-plus years of experience in power plant operation, electrical installation, design and electrical engineering analysis for residential, institutional, commercial and municipal clients. Brown and Caldwell is an environmental engineering firm.

GHD, Inc. hired John Velimesis in Seattle to develop the local water resources business line. Velimesis has 18 years of experience in water resources engineering design, environmental studies and habitat restoration with an emphasis on FEMA and EPA programs. GHD is an engineering, architecture and environmental consulting firm with more than 6,000 employees in five continents.

Michael F. Matthes of Wilson Engineering earned the LEED for Neighborhood Development credential. Bellingham-based Wilson offers surveying, civil and structural engineering, and LEED neighborhood development consulting.
