NAC|Architecture promoted Gary Braun, Trish Buzan, Marcia Wall and Sarah Wortman to senior associate, and Kelly Gordon, Brooke Hanley, Missy Holland, Marc Moneymaker, Greg Pratt and Kelly Waterman to associate. Braun is a project architect and project manager on health care and education projects. He is working on View Ridge Elementary School in Everett. Buzan is technology director at NAC. She has worked toward firm-wide implementation of Revit. Wall is director of the Seattle interior design department, and specializes in senior living communities and education facilities. She is designing interiors for View Ridge. Wortman is executive director of marketing and oversees marketing for NAC offices. Gordon is an interior designer, and is working on Ferris High School in Spokane. Hanley is a project architect, also working on Ferris High. Holland is an architect specializing in construction administration. Her focus is K-12 projects, including Cordata Elementary School in Bellingham. Moneymaker is a project architect and worked on Bellevue High School. He is now construction administrator for the project. Pratt is an architectural modeler and software trainer who helped the firm implement Revit. He is working on Auburn High School. Waterman is an electrical engineering technician and engineer-in-training. She has worked on Eastern Washington University's Patterson Hall. NAC has offices also has offices Spokane, Los Angeles and Denver.



Century West Engineering hired Dave Wall, Jesse Brehmeyer and Chris Westerman in the Spokane office. Wall is an engineer with 25 years of experience in utility, roadway and drainage design. He has 12 years of experience in Spokane as project manager for municipal projects, subdivisions and commercial site development. Brehmeyer is an engineer-in-training and staff engineer with experience in CAD and designing water, sewer, storm drainage and roadways. Westerman is an engineer-in-training and staff engineer with experience in solid waste and wastewater. He has interned for the Department of Ecology and worked as stormwater coordinator for the city of Spokane. Century West Engineering provides municipal and aviation engineering, with offices also in Ellensburg, Portland and Bend, Ore.


ALSC Architects hired Marci Schreiber as an interior designer and Gale Bevington as an architectural intern. Schreiber holds a master's in interior design from Washington State University and a master's in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University. She is working on the Grant Elementary School modernization. Bevington holds a master's of architecture degree and a bachelor's in architectural studies, both from WSU. She is on the Orient School team. ALSC provides planning and design, with offices in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Aecom hired architects and urban designers Jim Bodoia and William “Bill” Kreager and urban planner Lisa Folkins in its Seattle office to strengthen its master planning services, particularly for housing. Bodoia has received more than 25 national awards for his work on sustainable communities, apartments and townhomes. He has more than 40 years of experience in high-density housing and large-scale planning. Kreager has led housing and planning projects ranging from infill development to resort communities, and has been honored by the American Institute of Architects and the Urban Land Institute. Folkins has 29 years of experience with urban and community planning, including mixed-use, senior living, higher education and commercial. Her work integrates architecture and site planning. Aecom provides technical and management support services to transportation, facilities, environmental, energy, water and government markets.

Environmental Science Associates promoted Marjorie Wolfe to director of the Portland office. She was a senior engineer for Clean Water Services in Hillsboro, Ore., and has also worked for Canada's Department of Fisheries and Oceans and in Montana restoring habitats, doing floodplain studies and planning stormwater management. ESA is a West Coast-based environmental and planning firm. It merged last year with Philip Williams and Associates, and plans to expand estuary restoration services in Oregon and Washington.

Quantum Consulting Engineers hired LEED-accredited Wes Isbell as a staff engineer. Quantum is a Seattle-based firm that provides structural engineering, renovation and analysis services.



Mahlum named Erik Goodfriend principal and Corrie Rosen and Anjali Grant associates. Goodfriend has spent the past 12 years focusing on health care at Mahlum and leads that practice group in Seattle and Portland. He is lead medical planning principal for the new Peace Island Medical Center and is working on renovations at Salem Hospital in Oregon. Rosen has nine years of experience, and leads the firm's community service group. Grant specializes in sustainable educational facilities. She is project architect for Finn Hill Junior High, a net-zero-ready school. She has 14 years experience, practicing in Seattle and New York.


The Watershed Co. promoted Hugh Mortensen and Dan Nickel to principal. Nickel, an environmental engineer, manages the planning and fisheries practices. Mortensen, a wetland scientist for the past decade, manages the wetland practice. Kirkland-based Watershed provides natural resource assessment and restoration services, and landscape architecture. Recent projects include stream channel restoration at the Plaza at Yarrow Bay.



BCRA hired Maziar Sahihi as a landscape architect, Kevin Crow as a civil engineering technician and Stacy Zuger as a studio administrator. Sahihi joins the Seattle office staff with eight years of experience, and was formerly with Kenneth Philp Landscape Architects and The Berger Partnership. His is working on Brookville Gardens Community Park in Fife. Crow earned a bachelor's degree from Washington State University School of Engineering. Zuger was previously with The Whitman County Gazette, where she worked as a production manager. BCRA provides architecture, interior design, engineering, building science, planning and communications strategy, with offices also in Tacoma, Wenatchee, Alexandria, Va., and Manila, Philippines.

Trindera Engineering hired Casey Lechich as an electrical drafter. Lechich has six years of AutoCAD drafting experience, and will work on commercial projects. He was employed at Kootenai Electric Co. Trindera is an electrical and control systems engineering and consulting firm based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
