Perkins+Will

Bain

The Perkins+Will Seattle office hired Brodie Bain to the new position of campus planning director. Bain is an architect and planner who has focused on higher education for 15 years. She has 20 years of experience in architecture and design, including campus planning, programming, space studies, land use, site planning and pre-designs for campus buildings. Her clients have included Ohio State University and the University of Washington. She was a partner at Seattle-based Mithun and led development of its sustainable campus master planning.

Josh Robischon, Brady Bell and Scott Miller have formed a new mechanical engineering firm in Renton called Metrix Engineers. Metrix provides HVAC, plumbing and fire sprinkler design in the educational, data center, office and retail sectors. The founders are all mechanical engineers and were previously senior associates at Hargis Engineers. The office is in the Blackriver Corporate Park at 1131 S.W. Seventh St., Suite 110. Runberg Architecture Group

Wang

Runberg Architecture Group promoted Michele A. Wang to partner. Wang has been with the firm since 2000 and specializes in urban housing, with an emphasis on student and affordable housing. For the past six years, she has been a principal. Wang's work has included Denny Park Apartments and Borealis Apartments. Prior to joining Runberg, she was a designer at Wesselman Pellecchia Associates. She worked on environmental graphics for Benaroya Hall and Pacific Place. Seattle-based Runberg specializes in urban mixed-use, housing and adaptive reuse.

Art Anderson Associates

McKee

Art Anderson Associates, a Bremerton engineering services firm, hired Sean McKee as a senior marine electrical engineer. McKee leads electrical engineering for marine and vessel engineering projects. He was a US Navy electrician and has worked on the Navy's X-Craft and Washington State Ferries' new 144-car ferry. At Art Anderson, he is working on repowering the AMHS ferry Tustumena.

Jerome W. Morrissette & Associates

Dennis R. Baker, director of land surveying services for Jerome W. Morrissette & Associates, received certification from the Bureau of Land Management for the certified federal surveyor program.

ESM Consulting Engineers

DeCamp

ESM Consulting Engineers hired Ken DeCamp as a land surveyor to assist with survey operations in the Everett office. DeCamp has owned 360 Surveying and Mapping in Maple Valley for three years, but plans to close it next year. ESM provides civil engineering, surveying, planning, GIS and landscape architecture.

Aspect Consulting

Carp

Brett Carp joined Aspect Consulting as a senior project environmental scientist in the Seattle office. Carp has a background in site assessment and remedial action for environmental cleanup and development. He is providing environmental support for cleanup of Kimberly-Clark's Everett mill site. Aspect provides water resources, environmental and geologic science, and engineering.

EHS Design hired interior designer Brett Dearing. He has 17 years of experience and a portfolio in retail, education, hospitality, library and corporate sectors in the U.S., Asia and the Middle East. The Seattle firm provides architecture, interior design, space planning and facilities planning.

Otak

Otak hired Kurt Creager as housing and community development director, Andrew Midwood as federal markets director in the Colorado office and Sara Mahoney as an intern architect in the corporate office in Lake Oswego, Ore. Creager has more than 30 years of experience in policy, program and project implementation. Recently, he has focused on mixed-income and mixed-use projects in Seattle, Portland/Vancouver, Phoenix and Los Angeles. He has been executive director for the Stardust Center at Arizona State University's Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, president of Urbanist Solutions, CEO of the Vancouver Housing Authority, and chief of housing and economic development for Metropolitan King County in Seattle. Midwood has more than 10 years of experience in business development and selling. Before Otak, he was director of business development for F&D International. Mahoney previously was an architectural intern at MulvannyG2 Architecture in Portland, and provided green design and consulting services for Mahoney Homes in Beaverton. Otak is a planning, design and engineering firm.
