Meng Analysis hired John Boatman as cost manager for estimating and analysis. He has 20 years of experience in construction. He will use his experience with USACE, GSA, K-12, higher education and public works clients. The Seattle-based firm provides quality and cost performance services, including value analysis, constructability reviews, commissioning, facility condition analysis and cost estimating.

LRS Architects promoted Janice Goo to senior associate and Jason Tand to associate. Goo joined the firm in 2003. She is an architect in the housing studio with a portfolio in hospitality, medical, commercial and retail. Tand joined the firm in 2006. His portfolio includes government, retail, mixed-use, office, housing, educational, industrial and recreational projects. LRS provides building design, tenant improvements and interior design. It has offices in Portland and Shanghai.

IA Interior Architects promoted Karen Dahlstrom and Josh Khanna to senior associate, and Patrick Chatfield to associate in the Seattle office. The global architectural firm focuses on interior architecture and workplace strategies.

DCI Engineers, a civil and structural consulting firm, hired nine people in Seattle. Eric Pope, Ethan Ramberg, Brad Maier, Luke deBarathy, Patrick Heye and Patrick Rice are structural project engineers. Samuel Aguilar de Amador is a structural CAD designer, Joseph Glaser is structural project manager, and Jami Parks is a marketing coordinator. Pope produces calculations and sketches, and marks up drawings and reviews shop drawings. He is working on Holgate Apartments in Seattle. Ramberg supports senior engineers in designing structures. He is working on Seattle area commercial projects. Maier coordinates with the design team on structural systems. He is working on the FedEx ground distribution center in Seattle. DeBarathy does structural calculations, analysis and drawings, and provides construction support. He is working on the North Lot twin towers in Seattle. Heye holds a bachelor's in architectural engineering from Cal Poly. His work includes projects in California and Washington. Rice holds a bachelor's in civil engineering from Northwestern University and a master's in civil engineering from the University of Washington. He is working on an active adult living complex in Saskatchewan. Amador has 10 years of structural drafting experience. He is working on the second phase of White Pine Lodge in Sandpoint, Idaho. Glaser has 24 years of engineering experience and is working on housing in the region. Parks has seven years of hospitality/resort marketing experience. She provides marketing materials and helps in public relations and business development.

PND Engineers

PND Engineers hired Christopher Kokesh as a senior geotechnical engineer in the Seattle office. Kokesh has seven years of experience in geotechnical investigations and design. He holds a master's in geotechnical engineering/soil mechanics and a bachelor's in civil engineering from The Ohio State University. PND is a marine, civil, coastal, structural and geotechnical engineering firm.

FSi consulting engineers promoted Kevin Chadwick, Thomas Anderson and Ben Roush to associate. Chadwick is a mechanical engineer who has experience in mechanical systems for maintenance, manufacturing and industrial buildings, and led design of a robotic painting facility for aircraft wings. Anderson has 15 years of experience designing mechanical systems for industrial, transit, utility and aviation facilities. He is providing mechanical engineering for the United Airlines Concourse at Sea-Tac. Roush has experience in LEED design and energy upgrades, as well as mechanical systems for civic buildings, schools and wineries. He is working on energy and DDC upgrades for Seattle Public Schools. Seattle-based FSi provides mechanical engineering.

Parametrix

Parametrix hired George Culbertson to lead the energy practice. He has utility experience, including technical services for permitting, engineering, procurement and construction projects for high voltage systems. He will focus on expanding services, with an emphasis on energy infrastructure. Previously, he managed an engineering and construction business at Pike Energy Solutions. Parametrix provides planning and environmental sciences.
